5 Steps of Famous Korean Beauty Routine

Step # 1: Oil-based cleaning
In Korean routine, the cleaning is divided into two phases and use products with different textures for a more effective washing.

In this first phase, cleansing is done with oil-based products to remove the heavier makeup and impurities from the face.

So you should spread and massage the oily product all over the face, as it has the function of dissolving sunscreen residue, pollution and even the most resistant makeup very gently.

It is only necessary to carry out this first step in the night, when cleaning must be deeper. During the day the second step should be taken.

Step # 2: Water-based cleaning
Already in the second phase, the Koreans use an aqueous (water based) product to remove the remnants of products scattered by the oil. We will use products with milder formulas at this stage like cleaning gel, mousses and moisturizing foams.

This step should be repeated daily, both morning and evening.

Step # 3: Exfoliation
This is the time to perform a deeper cleaning. Exfoliation promotes cell renewal by removing dead cells from the skin's top layer, as well as unclogging the pores and leaving the skin softer, brighter and more uniform.

This step also has the function of increasing the absorption of the products that will be used in the sequence.

To ensure the desired result products such as soaps, creams or oils having specific active ingredients or granules may be used.

The procedure can be performed on all skin types, however, it is important not to abuse the exfoliant, and you should do it at most one or two per week.

It is not necessary to make quick and strong movements, as it can hurt the region and thus you will not have the desired effect.

Step # 4: Toning
And we continue with the cleaning, now is the time to tone up. Korean women use this product day and night to finish the cleaning and remove any remnants of product or dirt that may still have on the face. In addition, the toning rebalances the pH of the skin, which changes due to climatic factors and of makeup.

If you have normal or dry skin, you can skip this step.

Step # 5: Mask
At this stage, Asians use disposable paper masks, also known as sheet masks, which are increasingly popular.

They are soaked in a high concentration of assets for various purposes, they can be soothing, whitening, moisturizing, detoxifying, regenerating, anti-acne and many others.

It pays to use once or twice a week, 15-20 minutes. To keep assets longer and increase their effects, after removing the mask, enjoy the rest of the product on the face and massage until completely absorbed.

If you find it difficult to find this type of face mask, you can use your favorite mask to replace the step.
